When I was young, my mind was very persuassive. I believed everything that I was told. I was like a sponge and would absorb everything. All the things that I thought was true when I was younger, I know don't believe in anymore.
One thing I used to believe in was Santa Claus. When it was Christmas my parents told me that Santa gave me presents during the night. I used to wonder why I have never seen him. Then my parents told me he's not real, but a symbol for Christmas.
Another thing I used to think was that babies came from the sky. All my friends said that and I believed them. I told my parents about it and they didn't respond. When I got older, I found out the truth.
Finally, I used to believe that teachers lived in school. I didn't think that they had real lives or families. I was proven wrong when I saw my kindergarten teacher at Wal-Mart. I was so surprised.
During my life, I have thought many things. Most, I would find dumb now. I have grown smarter and wiser. I now know I shouldn't believe everything I am told. That is what I have learned from my childhood.
